Paul Dutton

Paul was appointed Adult Pastor in August 2011 having previously served as Interim Youth Pastor from March 2011.

Although sometimes mistaken for a northerner, Paul originally hails from the West Midlands.  Upon completing his school education he moved to St. Andrews Scotland to study a degree in Biblical Studies.  After 4 years Paul graduated with a 2.1 Scottish Master’s degree and a first class wife, Tanya, whom he married at the start of his final year.

Another year was spent in St Andrews as Paul continued to work as the Worship Coordinator in their local church.  In 2007 they both moved down to York to train as teachers and by the summer of 2008 Paul was a qualified RE teacher.  Having moved down to Slough, because of Tanya’s job, Paul worked in a primary school for a while as a bit of an odd job man supporting pupils whilst also covering and tutoring in maths.  In the summer of 2010 Paul became a Christ Church Apprentice and then joined the Staff Team in March 2011.

To the surprise of many Paul is the main cook in the Dutton household and will occasionally make cakes, if asked nicely.  He enjoys playing guitar, walks and generally just having a good laugh.
