Today we are more aware of climate change, rising global temperatures but also the resistance to the policies and actions needed to take care of the environment. This includes pushback on the science and scientists that explain climate change.

Katharine is an atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on understanding the impacts of climate change on people and the planet. She is the Chief Scientist for The Nature Conservancy and a Horn Distinguished Professor and Endowed Professor of Public Policy and Public Law at Texas Tech University. 


She is the author of the best-selling book ‘Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World’, and the World Evangelical Alliance’s Climate Ambassador.


This webinar is put on by the John Ray Initiative, an educational charity bringing together scientific and Christian understandings of the environment to enable communication leading to action.
