Jeanette Howard (author, speaker, gardener and pet-sitter) recently spent a Saturday morning with us at Christ Church Virginia Water.

She winsomely tells her story relating to growing up with gender confusion, developing same-sex attraction and coming to faith in the 1980s through her then-girlfriend.

She explains how she left a gay lifestyle behind and shares what has helped her to grow in her love of Jesus. She also challenges the church to support others like her by being real family to one another.

She also gave helpful answers to a number of the key questions people ask about same sex attraction and gay lifestyle today. E.g:

• “Did Jesus say anything about homosexuality?”
• “What kind of lifestyle is pleasing to God – for all Christians?”
• “How do you live with same sex attraction and the teaching of the Bible?”
